We've owned the home for two years and the previous owners left a good amount of the pink rolled insulation in the attic, Advanced Energy's contractors laid that too before blowing in more insulation which was nice and why I gave them 2 stars. They added spray foam insulation to the rim joist around the entire basement but some areas clearly show where the foam dripped on the floor, which they cleaned up but did not re-spray so you can see gaps or chunks of missing foam along the rim joist all around the basement. One would think they would've sprayed the basement, waited for it to dry a little then to fill in what didn't settle or stick but they just left it, also the reason why I only gave them 2 stars. As far as rating the value for money, adding spray foam and insulation in general is time consuming which is why we hired someone to do it, so if you do the the same make sure they complete every part of the agreed upon details, have them add spray foam until it's completed without gaps and ask for a receipt up front when making the appointment else they will not return to complete the work and will not provide you with any documentation or receipts.

I gave them a 1/2 star on customer service because the contractors were really nice and very knowledgeable young men, but the owner needs to hire an assistant or office help because his professionalism and follow up are sorely lacking.
I delayed posting a review from our Oct 23, 2015 appointment in order to give them ample opportunity to follow up but we're very disappointed in the customer service and the quality of the work which is not completed. We verbally agreed by phone to have the attic insulated with spray foam and to have insulation blown in, spray foam insulation added around the rim joist of the basement and extending the upstairs bath vent outside through the attic. Advanced Energy's contractors did not extend the bathroom vent as agreed because the contractors said they forgot, although it was on their paperwork for our appointment which they saw when asking me to sign at the end of the appointment. One of the contractors said they would return when in the area again to finish it, but it's going on 6 weeks and we can't get anyone to return our calls or text messages. I assumed it was done while they were in the attic and I should've postponed signing the paperwork until they returned to finish the job, but I took the contractor at his word which was a mistake. We were also not provided a receipt or any paperwork from the appointment which we need for our records and for tax purposes. For some reason the forms they bring to their appointments don't include a copy to be left with customers which is a bit dated and unprofessional. We've called and left voicemails and text messages for 6 weeks and they haven't sent any paperwork or receipt via email or mail after repeated requests.
