Honestly, just don't waste your time. The food I got from there tonight was the last straw for me. I've never been 100% satisfied with this place and I ate navy chow for 8 years. It's really a shame because we don't have much in Dunkirk so it would be nice if the few places we do have were of some sort of quality... These are the people who demand $15 per hour (Ironic).
A couple of tips:
Clean, fast and hot. Busy around lunch time but it's McDonald's. It's a popular place for a reason. Has a play land for the kids
The drive thru in Dunkirk is usually very quick and accurate with food orders. People serving are polite and greeted me with a friendly "Hello". Food and fries were hot.
This McD's was full of flies and extremely disorganized. We had to repeat our order several times before it was correctly entered and then we had to correct the cashier on the size cups he was giving us for an order he just took. When our food was ready, there were multiple items missing from the bags. When we told the employee that brought the food he pointed at the busy cashier and said he'd take care of it... very disappointing visit.
I've probably thrown more food away from this place than actually eaten. Their quality is as poor as it gets and it's only consistency is it's woes. I could go there at any given time and maybe get a halfway decent meal, so I award it 2 stars, but it really deserves 1.
The woman who cleans the establishment is a jewel. The place is sparkling clean. She runs to help you get what you need. The bathroom was amazingly clean!! Thank you, thank You! We will return!
- Dont go inside the McD's... Yes, it's filthy.
- DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. The Dunkirk Burger King is WAY better.
- Don't go there after 10:00 pm. It will almost always be bad. But it could be good. But it could be Wednesday. In which case it will be bad.
- Don't order the Filet-o-Fish. Ever. It's always awful there and it makes me want to cry because that's one of my favorite sandwiches... and they made it great once, but I can't stop chasing that dragon. 90% of the time it will be bad.
